Monday January 3rd...back to school today and I decided that 6th grade discipline issues are creating too much stress for me. I left school today with chest pain and Danny took me to the ER in Calais . I underwent cardiac monitoring for 8 hours with a scheduled stress test in two days. I have decided to leave Eastport Elementary School and work part-time for the Quoddy Tides Newspaper.
Monday January 10th...I am enjoying my bookkeeping job at the Quoddy Tides. I am learning Quick Books 2010 and work from 10:00am - 2:00pm for 15 to 20 hours a week. I will walk to work, weather permitting and I am happy with the extra free time for home and hobbies.
Wednesday January 12th...the snow started falling about 11:15am and 20 minutes later we had white out conditions...we received about 8-9 inches of snow today.
Friday January 21st...a blizzard blew in today...I watched the snow begin to fall or rather blow, as I looked out my office window, over the breakwater. The snowfall gathered intensity and I left the office at 2:00pm amidst a drift of snow.
