Where has time gone??? The days are passing fast...too fast.

We have a weekday routine that does not alter much. The day starts at 5:00 am for Danny and he is out the door at 6:30 for his drive to work on Campobello Island, unless there has been more snow, sleet and/or mix and school was cancelled.

My day begins at 6:30-7:00am...nice. I have my morning coffee, prayer time and putter around until I get ready for work. My hours vary but normally work from 10:00am - 2:00pm. I love semi-retired.

I always go to work...rain, sleet, snow. The newspaper office is always open. I enjoy my bookkeeping duties at the Quoddy Tides and my office view... picture to follow.

Our week-ends usually include a trip to Calais (border town) to the Walmart and sometimes we cross the border into St. Stephens to the Atlantic Super Store to shop or get lunch at Tim Horton's.

We vary our driving direction and go south on Coastal Route 1 to Machias or Ellsworth occasionally when we get cabin fever.

February has been cold and snowy but with the Subaru Forrester we have not been stranded from traveling. We have a great road crew in Eastport that keeps the roads graded and sanded.

Life is good here in Eastport, Maine.
