Hurricane Earl September 4th

I had all the flying objects stored away due to the forecast of hurricane Earl's track up the Fundy bay. Our cottage sits on a hill overlooking the bay and it was expected to come ashore in the Eastport area.

I am happy to report that Eastport was spared hurricane force winds...mostly tropical wind and rain that started about 5:00am with the force of it felt about noon and clearing in the afternoon.
This weekend was the Salmon Festival with a poor start because of Earl.

Sunday Sept. 5th was a beautiful fall day with passing clouds, nice breeze and warm sunshine. A nice ending for the Salmon Festival and Pirate Invasion of Lubec.

Today is Monday Sept. 6th...Labor Day and I plan to enjoy my yard, garden and flowers and decorating for the fall.

Danny is in Florida and will arrive on Friday for the Pirate Festival.
